Religion, madness and secular paranoia

Michael Medved:

"Why would a major corporation invest big money in a gratuitous insult of millions of potential customers who, according to the company’s own figures, represent a clear majority of the American public?"

And did you know that Michael Medved isn't even a Christian? Medved does an excellent job explaining why major corporations are insulting millions of potential customers. Here is a little hint from his article.

"It’s the contemporary version of the famous “bargain” of Blaise Pascal, the French scientist and Catholic religious philosopher who died in 1662. When asked how he would react if he discovered at the end of life that his firm belief in God proved unjustified, he suggested that he would still have gained the enormous benefit of having lived as if God existed – and would feel no regret at all. If, on the other hand, non-believers like Sam Harris ultimately discover that the Almighty lives, and has been judging them all along, then, in the words of the great theologian Ricky Riccardo, “they got a whole lot of es-plainin’ to do.”" - Medved

It's a Mad, Mad World

Chuck Colson: "Imagine an American president addressing the United Nations and concluding his remarks by praying that God would hasten Christ's return and unleash the apocalypse. What do you suppose public opinion would be?" Christians show resolve and straight through current hard times.

Study Finds Most U.S. Churches Fairly Uninvolved in Politics

Can be a good or bad thing. For example, the recent California Bills vetoed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger helped Ca. Christian schools maintain their identity per Biblical teachings. Read SB1437, AB606 & AB1056 for details. Why good? Church members, can inform each other on certain political issues that directly effect them. Bad? Church politics.

An excerpt from the article: Sellers notes, "we have 76 percent of pastors who say their church is very involved in study of the Bible, 41 percent, very involved in overseas in overseas evangelism or missions; but only seven percent say their church is 'very involved' in national politics or political issues."

'Sexual indoctrination' bills vetoed by Gov. Schwarzenegger

"Late yesterday, Scwarzenegger vetoed AB 606, a measure that would have required schools to enact policies promoting transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality under threat of having their state funding yanked; and AB 1056, which would have spent $250,000 to establish ten so-called "tolerance" schools promoting various kinds of sexual lifestyles. And earlier this month, the governor vetoed SB 1437, which would have changed school textbooks to require that they include positive presentations of transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality."
